Perfume Review of Reb’l Fleur by Rihanna
First hitting the market in January 2011, Reb’l Fleur is the first fragrance released by pop recording artist Rihanna and the tagline that accompanies the fragrance says it all, “Bad feels so good.” I first came across this scent at Macy’s and went out of my way to avoid it as what does an early twenty-something know about perfume for anyone older than herself? Boy was I wrong! I will be honest, it is a bit overwhelming at first sniff but it works really well with my body chemistry and is absolutely divine.
I would say Reb’l Fleur starts intensely (much like Rihanna herself) but then blooms into some really nice florals and if you can catch it, a very slight hint of coconut. I am sure Rihanna’s Barbadian roots were atop of mind in the creation of this scent and though it reminds of sunny days on a palm treed lined beach, it is great fragrance for daytime wear regardless of the season.
I was practical and purchased my Reb’l Fleur at Perfume.com and got the set which came with a large and a purse size bottle of the scent, shower gel and body lotion. The perfume bottle is absolutely beautiful (making the packaging look bland in comparison) and adds a touch of class to my dresser. The only complaint I have is that I have some difficulty with the spraying mechanism of the larger bottle which can be difficult to push down when holding onto the bottle but I have solved this problem by setting it on my dresser and positioning myself in front of the spray.
I know what you are all thinking, another celebrity scent but trust me—this one is a winner. The official video was sexy and cool and only goes to enhance this sultry scent.
